IRONMENRB

Welcome to the IronmenRB Newsletter, We are thrilled to have your support. This site will hopefully be used to help us rebuild The ironmen into the very best clan that Railbirds has ever seen. Again welcome and Good Luck On And Off Of The Felt

Brief History of The Ironmen

Railbird Clan League

The IronmenRB are officially enrolled in the upcoming round of R.B.C.L play. The clan league format is simple, the clans taking part in the league will be divided into two confrences, and each conference will be divided into two divisions each. 5 teams to a division. Each clan will face off against one of the other clans in a weekly tourney over the scheduled season, The clans with the best records will compete in the play offs and finally the two best play for the championship.Everything up to this point is modeled like the NFL.

Every thing from this point is based more like the Olympics, each player is expected to do his PERSONAL BEST, and EVERY RULE OF POKER, as well as EVERY RULE IN PLACE AT FULLTILT REGUARDING COLLUSION, CHIP DUMPING,SIGNALING OR CHEATING APPLY DURING LEAGUE PLAY! Like the Olympics each person does thier personal best to finish as high as possible, It's these individual performances that are calculated to reach your team score as a clan.

Noone is required to play in this or any other event and there is no minimum or maximum limit on the number of players each clan can have play for them in each tourney. That means if I am the only Ironman to play and 30 Sharks are entered our Clan score for that game will based on my finish, against all the other points possible. So I am hoping at least some of you want to play each week.

We are not doing well after the first 5 weeks of this RBCL season, so we could really use as many members in as many games as possible. These are some of the funnest games I have ever played in, and having us start to win more often would only make it that much better.I will be PM all members the tourney info and PW to the next match up in the near future.

Midseason ruling by the commisioner.NO player can play for more then one clan in the same week,If your still listed as a member of one clan and play for another clan, any points you earn will be awarded to the clan your playing against. NO member can switch clans after week 10 and be allowed to play for his new clan.

The Rules/Restrictions:
 There is NO limit to the amount of players a Clan can bring to a game. Every Railbird Clan
member is welcome to participate.
 Only members of Railbirds.com can participate in the R.B.C.L games.
 Each clan should have a minimum of 10 members on their membership roster for entry into the
RBCL in order be sure that a clan has enough members to participate the entire season.
 Many of you already have these, but ALL Clans will need to choose an avatar to use prior to the
start of the season and make it clear to your members that during RBCL games that it's
important to use in order help those scoring the games. Once you have selected an avatar,
please let the R.B.C.L. Council know so that it can be notated. Please be aware of the avatars
that are currently being used by other Clans so that there is no duplication. You can visit the
Clan Listings Page to aid in that.
 “Honorary” Clan Members should ONLY play for the Clan they have full membership in, NOT
their “Honorary” Clan. If a clan member is caught points will be void to both the individual
and the Clan. This could effect both the Team Points Winner Award and the Top Points Winner
and is simply unfair to others.*
 No member, honorary or not, can play for 2 clans period. Any player caught playing for 2 Clans
will be disqualified and the Clan will be assessed a suitable fine after investigation. Any
disqualified player that makes the final table will have their points awarded to the opposing
Clan.*
 Collusion, soft-play, and chip dumping will NOT be tolerated at all! The rules of FTP are to be
abided by. Full Tilt Poker site rule # 6 states, "Soft playing or chip dumping is not allowed. Any
unethical play may result in the suspension or termination of the offender's account."
Full Tilt Poker takes a very firm standpoint when it comes to collusion, or any form on the site.
Please be aware that Full Tilt Poker does not offer league style tournaments where team
members play with each other against other opponents. Full Tilt Poker does not have an official
stance when it comes to league style games, as such games would have to occur off the site.
That said, we are of the opinion that any sort of collusion is unethical, and should not be
permitted in any game type, in any location.
Any soft playing on the site is considered collusion and unethical activity, and will not be
permitted on the site.
 Friendly banter is certainly accepted however rude and extremely disrespectful behavior is
unnecessary and could potentially cost your team points for unsportsmanlike conduct. This
includes team observer chat. A copy of extreme incidences should be reported to the R.B.C.L.
Council and include the chat history for the Leader/Co-Leaders to potentially vote on. If it's
voted that it was completely out of line your team will lose points from that tournament. Repeat
offenses could result in the exclusion of your Clan in future RBCL's.*
 While there is no restrictions as to new members being able to participate in the regular season
games, prior to the start of the Playoffs all teams competing in the playoffs should submit a
playoff roster to the R.B.C.L. Council prior to the start of the Playoffs.
 Each clan participating in the RBCL should have at least their Leaders and at least 2 Co-
Leaders request the friendship of the R.B.C.L. Page in order for the Council to be able to
contact those leaders to give out passwords, set up meeting, etc.
THE COUNCIL:
A non-Railbird Commissioner position was established as an unbiased person who would act as a final
arbiter for rules interpretations and other disputes not specifically covered by the rules. The
commissioner will also be responsible for aiding in maintaining and verifying accurate standings as
well as making sure things run as smoothly.
The Council is made up of at least one member from each Division who is willing to work together
with the Commissioner and to help do the following and any other duties that might arise throughout
the season that needs to be done:
 Create the tournament schedule based on the rules agreed upon.
 Set up the tournaments with FTP
 Getting the tournament schedule and passwords to each of the Clan Leaders/contacts
 Talley and verify points from the tournaments
 Post weekly standings/ update blogs
Standings Layout Recommendation. This would aid in helping each team know throughout the
Season exactly where they stand within both their Division and in their Conference not with just points,
but records as well in the event of a tie breaker.
